Deaf Ministry
The PVBS Deaf Ministry exists to provide spiritual strengthening resources for the Deaf. We provide religious meetings, events, and church services for the Deaf, as well as connect the Deaf in the Butte County area in such a way that a local community of fellowship, unity, encouragement, and mission is fostered and developed.
We also connect the hearing who wish to do ministry with the Deaf and others who desire such fellowship, while at the same time, acquainting the hearing with the uniqueness of American Sign Language and Deaf Culture.
We are here by God’s purpose and design. We aim to proclaim that regardless of whether we are deaf or not. The fundamental principle behind this ministry is that we are all created in the image of God in diversity and that we can find ultimate wholeness, restoration, fulfillment, and hope only in Him.
We firmly believe that the Deaf are created no less than the hearing and have an active part in sharing the “everlasting gospel”
......having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people
Revelation 14:6
Anyone, Deaf, and hearing, is free to join and participate. Basic knowledge of American Sign Language would be helpful. If you are a first-time visitor, be assured that we will make sure you are made comfortable with introductions.
We will assist you in getting acquainted with what we’re studying at that time. You will be given study material for the topic at the time of your visit. Likewise, you have an opportunity to pose questions which will be answered.
